With the Earth Kingdom basically subdued and the Water Tribe the one left actually standing. I had this thinking that the Gaang will be thinking of a more direct means to defeat the Fire Lord rather than gathering a large group. While this may seem small, I believe it is a better way to get into the Fire Nation without being fully detected.
